Talking about "effective" tax rates on worldwide income is deceptive. A company such as Coca Cola which earns a high percentage of income overseas is paying income taxes in foreign countries on their foreign income. They are not and should not be taxed again in the U.S. on that same foreign income to the extent they have paid foreign income taxes on it. Otherwise foreign income could be taxed at up to 70% between U.S. and foreign income taxes, making it totally uneconomic to invest overseas. I thank you Firozali A.Mulla DBA
