Dan Macsai is a senior editor at TIME, heading up the Briefing and Pop Chart sections of the magazine. Before that, he was a reporter at BusinessWeek and a staff editor at Fast Company, where he helped produce marquee franchises like the 100 Most Creative People in Business and the World’s Most Innovative Companies. He grew up near Chicago, studied journalism at Northwestern University, and once, a very long time ago, held an internship at Us Weekly, where he sought answers to essential questions like, “Who wore it best?”
