Joe Klein’s article, “The Mitt Mirage”, really brought the indecisiveness of both Mitt Romney and the Republican party to the forefront. Romney is trying to stray away from his own “liberal-esque” policies in order to attract people who might vote for him. After reading this article, I believe that the Republicans see themselves as changing with the times, and in order to stay as conservative as possible, they have chosen the most far-right ideas they can to stand on. This article really opened my eyes and allowed me to realize that we are watching the slow collapse of the Republican party.
