Your article [“Bitter Pill: Why Medical Bills Are Killing Us”] was one of the most informative and provocative I have read in many years. It clearly illustrates that our problem does not lie with those receiving treatment but with the excessive greed that permeates the health care industry. Perhaps our leaders in Washington will stop arguing about who will pay and realize that the real problem is overcharging and the solution may be the system that other countries have long since adopted: universal single-payer care.
