The Army and Air Force leadership clearly states their approach to the psychological well-being of their personnel in their core values: selfless service (Army) and service before self (Air Force). The fundamental values of our service state that we are to place service before our own well-being and that of our families. The rising suicide rate reflects the misguided approach to the psychological training of our personnel.
