I had to chuckle when I read your pseudo-obituary to the Occupy movement in your Nov. 28 issue. Were you hoping we would all just go away with the tents?
Dream on, friends. We’re here for the long haul. I’m 61 years old and have been waiting my entire adult life for this revolution. The tent cities were just the first salvo — and look how dramatically effective we were in our quixotic, funny, unpredictable, leaderless, consensus-building way, galvanizing millions across the world.
Our time has finally come. Stay tuned for the next chapter. It will be even more exciting than this one was. But if you’re not careful, the blogs, tweets and Facebook will beat you to the story.
