Eric Klinenberg

Eric Klinenberg is a professor of sociology, public policy and media, culture and communications at New York University. He is also editor of the journal Public Culture. He is the author of Going Solo: The Extraordinary Rise and Surprising Appeal of Living Alone and Heat Wave: A Social Autopsy of Disaster in Chicago. Klinenberg has contributed to a number of publications including the New York Times Magazine, Rolling Stone, The London Review of Books, The Nation, the Washington Post, Mother Jones and the Guardian.
