Lawrence J. Cohen, PhD, is a licensed psychologist in Brookline, Mass. He is the author of the award-winning book Playful Parenting. Cohen also co-authored two books on children’s friendships, popularity, and social cruelty, Best Friends Worst Enemies and Mom They’re Teasing Me, as well as a book on playful parenting, The Art of Roughhousing. His latest book, The Opposite of Worry: The Playful Parenting Approach to Childhood Anxieties and Fears, was published in September 2013.
