Pauline Franklin is a Gunnery Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps stationed at Camp Leatherneck in Helmand province, Afghanistan. Her awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with gold star, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with two gold stars and the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal with four bronze stars. She lives in Jacksonville, N.C., with her husband and two daughters.
