While spending time in Uganda as a University of Nottingham student, Alexander McLean was struck by the poor living conditions of inmates and developed a charity to improve facilities. To date, APP has renovated clinics, built libraries and developed educational programs in prisons throughout Uganda, Kenya, Sierra Leone and Nigeria.
